Technium Challenge Finalist
Thursday evening (29/05) saw the final conclusion of the Technium Challenge business planning competition with an awards ceremony taking place in Swansea. Unfortunately Practice-IT did not place in one of the top three positions, but it was still an honour to be chosen as a finalist. The competition assesses the UK’s most promising start-up technology companies. The initial number of entries into the competition was high and a first round selection process cut the number of companies down to 20 eligible businesses. These 20 companies went through a second round of judging out of which the 9 finalists emerged.
The final phase of the competition was a presentation on the business opportunity of the relevant company to a panel of judges. A daunt ting prospect as the panel are well respected individuals in the business world and competition sponsors. Following the presentation was a Q&A session which brought out a few interesting ideas.
So where do we go from here? We can certainly take heart in the fact that we are seen as one of the countries leading start-up technology companies by an institution that has a long history of supporting successful technology businesses. The work does not stop for us though; this has just confirmed what we have thought all along that we have a very exciting unique offering that benefits end users and customers alike.

For ages now we have been saying we need to get a blog up and running. Everyone I know who has one tells me how beneficial they are. The main reason for us to do this is to keep people up to date to what is happening in our business. Alex, co-founder of Snagsta really sold me on the idea.
